Nazirpatty residents fume over unscientific drainage system
SILCHAR, Dec 28: Residents of Light House Lane under ward no. 23 of the Silchar Municipal Board expressed their concern at the existing drainage system in the area which according to them creates a lot of troubles as the lane remains water-logged and filthy during the monsoon. As the winter being the right season for all sorts of construction and development works, the citizens submitted a memorandum addressed to Sushmita Dev, chairperson, Silchar Municipal Board, demanding immediate repair work of the damaged drainage system.
