Spectre of kidnapping comes to stalk Karimganj again
SILCHAR, Dec 27: After a brief spell, the spectre of kidnapping has come to spell its dark shadows in the bordering areas of Karimganj district. During the last seven days, two incidents of kidnapping have rattled the people of the remote and isolated areas under Ratabari police station. This has belied the expectation of the common people about the security measures having been tightened and joint operation by the Army and the police being carried out to flush out the extremists and to keep the anti-social elements at bay.
