ACKSHA demands CBI probe into Silchar-Lumding BG construction
SILCHAR, Jan 9: Even after sixteen years of laying the foundation stone of Silchar-Lumding BG, the construction work has been going on in the most sluggish manner and looking at the pace, it is difficult to say when it will be completed. Pradip Dutta Roy, advisor and founder president of All Cachar-Karimganj-Hailakandi Students’ Association (ACKHSA) slammed the syndicate of politicians, bureaucrats and contractors for causing abnormal delay with dubious motive. He said politicians were playing politics with the vital issue of connectivity and taking the people of Barak Valley for a ride. Though he did not mention anything about the Sunday Haflong meet of the ruling party ministers, MP and MLAs with NF Railway officials on the issue of BG, his tirade was apparent.
