NGO, Grahak Suraksha Samiti (GSS), Cachar organizes awareness meet on PDS
The NGO, Grahak Suraksha Samiti (GSS), Cachar, continues to raise its voice against the various anomalies in the public distribution system (PDS) by organizing consumers’ meets across the urban and rural areas of the district.
Its Maniarkhal anchalik committee recently convened a meet of consumers of the area in the premises of Maniarkhal gaon panchayat office of Dholai constituency under the presidentship of Madan Gaur, a social worker, and discussed the issues related to the bungling by fair price shops which causes the common people to suffer. The stress was laid on awareness among the masses in order to ensure fair and proper distribution of essential commodities.
