79th birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee celebrated
SILCHAR, Dec 26: In order to celebrate the 79th birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India, Silchar town mandal committee of Bharatiya Janata Party organized a drawing competition divided into three groups for the children of nursery section, KG 1 to class IV and from class V to class VIII along with patriotic song competition for the students from class IV to VIII and IX to XII here today. As part of its three-day-long celebration, which started yesterday, a discussion on the life and achievements of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his good governance will be held tomorrow. Kabindra Purkayastha MP, Parimal Shuklabaidya, former MLA and Nabarun Dey, writer, will be the appointed speakers.
