CPI (M) fires salvo at the Congress misrule
SILCHAR, Dec 14: In support of its charter of demands, the Cachar-Hailakandi District Committee of CPI (M) here today carried out a day-long civil disobedience movement as part of which a massive rally was brought out from Narsingtola ground which after moving through the main thoroughfares of the town assembled in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner where the party workers staged a protest demonstration. Hundreds of party workers were detained by the police for violating the law and order who were later released in the evening.
