Will the visit streamline border-management?
SILCHAR, Dec 14: After going round the border in Dhubri sector, Janaki Ballav Patnaik, Governor of Assam, will be on a day-long visit of Karimganj on Sunday to have an on the spot inspection of the situation. In fact, it is perhaps BTAD violence and its fallout which has jolted both the Centre and the State governments about the problem of Bangladeshis, leading to serious demographic topsy-turvy and in the process threatening the very identity and culture of the indigenous people. Notwithstanding all the controversies, BTAD has brazenly exposed how the Bodos have been reduced to minority in their own land.
