Congress to take on its opponents with 'development' as poll mantra
SILCHAR, Jan 19: Congress will contest the ensuing panchayat elections, scheduled to be held on February 12, in Cachar district with development as its main poll-plank. “Congress ruled governments at the Centre and the State have taken various initiatives and launched series of schemes for the overall development of villages and in order to ensure proper implementation of all the schemes, the party will contest the ensuing panchayat elections in the district with development as its main poll plank,” said Arun Dutta Mazumder, president, Cachar district Congress.
