Suniti Das murder: Four arrested, one absconding
SILCHAR, January 4: Police has achieved a major breakthrough in arresting four of the five accused involved in the abortive abduction of a minor girl and the death of her mother, Suniti Das, of Karimganj basti under Palanghat police outpost of Cachar, 45 km from here. Acting on specific information and clues from its own sources, a strong police force from Dholai police station led by officer-in-charge A R Rahman launched a massive man hunt at the suspected hideouts of the four accused after midnight raids at their houses at different locations failed to yield any result.
