AVBP's new building inaugurated

SILCHAR, Jan 23: The newly constructed State office of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was inaugurated here toady by Swami Mrinmayanandaji Maharaj, in-charge, Barak Valley, Bharat Sevashram Sangha.
The office was constructed under Students’ Experience Inter-State Living (SEIL) project, which was started in 1996.
Sunil Ambedkar, national organizing secretary, highlighted the different projects of AVBP under which different training and educational trips are conducted for the larger interest of the students’ community. He also pointed out that unlike other students’ organizations the AVBP had its world reach. Ambedkar threw light on the history of ABVP and its programmes for nation building by organizing different activities and programmes.
The national organizing secretary requested the students to come forward for fighting against corruption. He appealed to the students to join AVBP with a view to build their character for leading corruption free society.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Mrinmayanandaji Maharaj appealed to the members and supporters of students’ body to work for the larger interest of the society. Among others who spoke on the occasion, Bimal Nath Choudhury, Sishu Ranjan Das, Srihari Mukherjee, Sanjib Bhattacharjee, Monoj Nikhra, Apangshu Sekhar Shil, Sumit Paul.
