'Half of the population will have hearing problems by 2050'

SILCHAR, Dec 13: “Half of the population of the world will have hearing problems by 2050 due to the noise pollution, which has been increasing with each passing day,” observed Biman Kumar Dutta, an environmental scientist.
Dutta, a professor of the department of ecology and environmental science in Assam University, said that time has come to stand together against the noise pollution, otherwise days are not far when majority of the population will suffer from hearing ailments.
